                       Conister Trust plc (the 'Company')

                             Director's Shareholding


The Company was informed on 19 December 2007 that Philip Stamp had purchased a
total of 100,000 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 0.20 per cent. of the
ordinary share capital of the Company at a price of 80p per ordinary share on 19
December 2007.


Following this purchase Philip Stamp and persons connected to him are interested
in 100,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.20 per cent. of the ordinary share
capital of the Company, all of which are held beneficially.
