Econergy International PLC ("the Company"), announces that it has been informed
today that following an acquisition of shares on 23rd April 2008 Tchenguiz
Family Trust through its indirect subsidiary Elsina Limited has an interest in
15,935,700 shares in the Company, representing 18.32% of the issued ordinary
share capital being 87,000,000 ordinary shares.
