The Board of Block Shield is pleased to announce that with effect from 13 May
2008 Gary Koos has been appointed as an executive director of the Company. Gary
will continue to serve as chief financial officer of Block Shield and remain as
acting chief executive officer over the short-term following the resignation of
Dr Pier Antoniucci due to personal health issues.

Mike Fitzgerald, chairman of Block Shield commented:

'I am delighted to announce that Gary is joining the Board of Block Shield as
an executive director. Gary has provided invaluable assistance to the Company
as its chief financial officer and with his guidance and assistance we look
forward to further growth by the Company.'

In accordance with paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules for Companies,
the following information is provided:

Gary Koos (aged 50) was the chief financial officer of Onix Microsystems. In
2003, as part of the sale of such company's assets and return of capital to its
investors, he voluntarily put the company into bankruptcy in order to settle
the company's obligations to its landlords. There was no shortfall to
creditors.

There is no further information in respect of the above appointment required to
be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules for
Companies
