                     Completion of Acquisition and Placing                     

Block Shield Corporation plc, the provider of innovative electronic components
and processes utilised in electromagnetic compatibility and Radio Frequency
Identification (`RFID') applications, is pleased to announce the completion of
its acquisition of Mu-Gahat Holdings Inc ("Mu-Gahat"), a developer and producer
of custom RFID and gaming technology solutions (the "Acquisition").

The Company also announces the completion of its placing of 12,578,791 shares
(the "Placing") to fund the working capital requirements of the group as
enlarged by the Acquisition. Admission and commencement of dealings in the
placing shares and the shares issued by way of consideration for the
Acquisition took place today.

The directors of Block Shield believe the Acquisition broadens Block Shield's
technology portfolio, enabling the Company to provide end-to-end RFID
manufacturing solutions from the design and prototyping process through to the
highly cost effective, high volume production of inlays.

Following completion, Edwin Oh, previously the president and chief operating
officer of Mu-Gahat, has joined the Board of Block Shield as chief executive
officer. David Whelan has been appointed non-executive vice chairman.

Edwin Oh, newly-appointed chief executive officer of Block Shield, commented:

The current focus of the newly blended management team is on commercialising
the technologies developed by both companies. In addition to sales and
marketing programmes previously underway, we are moving forward to identify new
opportunities and to strengthen existing customer projects, now made possible
