The board of Abbeycrest announces that Simon Lazenby, Group Finance Director, will resign from the board with effect from 31 December 2011.

Simon has been working to refocus the Group on its two principal subsidiaries, Abbeycrest Thailand Limited and Brown & Newirth Limited, and to implement an appropriate local working capital funding model for each. These initiatives are now largely complete. The board thanks Simon for his contribution and wishes him well for the future.

The board has now started a recruitment process to identify suitable candidates for the role of Group Finance Director and Simon has agreed to assist the Group on a consultancy basis, if required, to ensure an orderly handover of responsibilities to his successor.
