("John Swan" or the "Company")

Change of Date of Annual General Meeting

and of Dividend Timetable

Further to the Company's announcement of its preliminary results on 31 July 2014, the date of the Company's Annual General Meeting ("AGM") has been changed to 17 October 2014.

As a result, the dividend payment timetable has also been amended and the Company will pay a final dividend of 5 pence per share according to the following timetable:

 AGM and Dividend Posting   10 October 2014     17 October 2014

* Shares bought on or after the ex-dividend date will not qualify for the dividend.

** Shareholders must be on the John Swan & Sons plc share register on this date to receive the dividend.

The Company expects to post the Annual Report and Accounts, together with formal notice of the Annual General Meeting, on 17 September 2014.
