The net asset value ("NAV") of Marble Point Loan Financing

--------------- ----------------- ---------------
Performance
-- MPLF's estimated NAV total return was 0.04% in March,
matching the total return of the Credit Suisse Leveraged Loan Index
of 0.04%.
-- Secondary loan prices declined during the month, with
significant movements lower in the first half of the month before
experiencing a partial rebound in the second half of the month.
Global market volatility stemming from the Russian invasion of
Ukraine, in addition to increasing concerns over inflation and
commodity prices contributed to the downward pressure on risk
assets.
o The average bid of the LSTA loan index at 15 March was 95.88%;
2 points below the level at the end of February, and represented
the lowest index price since December 2020. For the entire month,
the average bid of the LSTA loan index declined 0.28%.
-- In the second half of the month loans rallied back as an
opportunistic buying technical caused by CLOs with money to put to
work and strong retail inflows, coupled with muted loan issuance,
supported loan prices, while macro concerns abated slightly.
-- Lower loan prices during the month resulted in lower CLO
equity NAVs. Older vintage CLOs with shorter remaining reinvestment
periods are more impacted by the change in underlying loan prices,
and these CLO equity securities declined in value during the month.
On the other hand, more recently issued longer duration CLOs
appreciated in value during the month as the greater embedded
optionality of those vehicles resulted in their valuations being
less sensitive to loan prices changes.
o MPLF's current investment portfolio includes a range of CLO
vintages, and while the newer deals in the portfolio appreciated in
value, this was largely offset by declines in the older vintage
CLOs.
-- With loan market volatility during the month and limited new
issue loan volume, Marble Point continued to actively trade the
underlying CLO portfolios seeking to build par and optimize
relative value. Marble Point believes periods of loan market
volatility can be accretive to CLO structures, with locked in
financing and the ability to rotate underlying assets.
o During the month, the five biggest contributors to return in
MPLF's underlying portfolios were loans issued by Air Methods,
Telesat, Entrans, CSC Holdings (aka Cablevision) and Weight
Watchers. The five loans that generated the largest negative
contributions across MPLF's underlying portfolios were issued by
Envision Healthcare, Diamond Sports, Loparaex, Powerteam Services
and Goodpack.
-- No constituents of the S&P/LSTA Index defaulted in March,
and MPLF experienced no defaults in its underlying portfolios. The
Index's lagging 12-month default rate by notional amount was 0.19%
at March month end, representing a 10-year low. No defaults have
occurred in the index since November 2021.
Market
-- The CSLLI saw a 0.04% return in March as accrued interest
offset a decline in the average indicative bid price to 97.38% at
31 March from 97.69% at 28 February. The weighted average
indicative bid price of MPLF's underlying loans declined to 97.49%
at 31 March from 97.67% at 28 February.
-- March CLO issuance totaled $11.5 billion across 25 new issue
CLOs. Despite volatility impacting global markets and a slowdown in
new issue loan volume, a decent number of CLOs were able to price
during the month. In certain cases senior CLO liabilities were
locked in place several weeks prior to pricing and the invasion of
Ukraine, while other deals opportunistically came to market to take
advantage of attractive loan prices or the longer term financing
associated with CLO issuance. In addition to new issue, two CLO
resets totaling $1.9 billion priced during the month according to
S&P/LCD. Due to the wider CLO liability levels, many
opportunistic refinancing and reset transactions were shelved.
-- Institutional loan volume totaled $17.0 billion in March
according to S&P/LCD, which represented a still-muted issuance
dynamic after the high volume seen in January. The March volume
total was the second lowest monthly total since July 2020. Many
loan issuers chose to hold bringing deals to market in March amid
the broader market volatility and wait for more benign
conditions.
-- Retail loan funds experienced an inflow of approximately $3.0
billion in March, representing the 15th consecutive month of
inflows as reported by J.P. Morgan. The formal rate hike announced
at the March meeting of the Federal Reserve, and expectations of
additional rate hikes throughout 2022 have continued to spur retail
investors to invest in floating rate asset funds.
-- Since the end of March, the average indicative bid price of
the CSLLI has increased by 0.28% to 97.66% (as at 18 April 2022).
Sustained retail fund inflows and new CLO creation has supported
loan prices amid the lull in new loan issuance during the
month.
Investment
-- On 30 March, Marble Point CLO XXIV ("MP24") closed. As
previously disclosed, MPLF rolled its $9.0 million investment in
the MP24 loan accumulation facility and invested an incremental
$8.4 million for a 42.3% interest in the equity tranche of the
deal.
-- MP24 has the following features:
o A reinvestment period of approximately five years
o A two year non-call period
o A 13 year final maturity
o A weighted average cost of debt of SOFR+206 basis points
o An estimated effective yield of 13.0-15.0% as at the closing
date of the transaction
