        ClearStream Technologies Group plc ("ClearStream Technologies") 
 
                      Entry into Peripheral Stent Market 
   New self-expanding stent to be marketed under the "SilkenFlex" brand name 
 
ClearStream Technologies is pleased to announce that it has signed a 5-year 
contract with Advanced Vision Medical Technologies GmbH, based in Switzerland 
for the purchase of a range of self-expanding stents for use in the peripheral 
vascular arteries above and below the knee. The stents will be distributed 
globally by ClearStream, subject to obtaining regulatory approval in specific 
markets, through its network of international distributors under the brand name 
"SilkenFlex" and are expected to be released to the market in the final quarter 
of this calendar year. 
 
Frost & Sullivan, Inc*. the internationally renowned US based management 
consulting and technical research specialists estimate that stents are used in 
35 per cent of all peripheral vascular procedures. With annual growth rates 
across Europe for these procedures running at between 14 and 17per cent this 
clearly remains an attractive market for ClearStream and a key part of the 
Company's future strategy.* 
 
Commenting on the new contract, Andrew Jones, CEO of ClearStream, said: "the

portfolio for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease (PVD). This new range 
of self-expanding stents will enable us to offer an ever broader range of

design and construction, which utilises a low injury stent design consistent 
with our own stent design philosophy yet novel within the peripheral arena. The 
SilkenFlex will be supplied in a range of sizes compatible with and 
complementary to ClearStream's unique, market-leading portfolio of peripheral 
balloon products. We believe its introduction will further drive ClearStream's 
growth in the expanding market for the treatment of PVD in the coming years."
