TRADING STATEMENT 
 
Shareholders are advised that Implats' headline earnings per share (HEPS) and 
basic earnings per share (EPS) for the financial year ended 30 June 2012 are 
expected to be between 645 and 695 cents. This is lower than that of the 
financial year ended 30 June 2011 (HEPS and EPS of 1 105 cents) primarily due 
to lower sales volumes as a result of the strike at Impala Rustenburg. 
 
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been 
reviewed and reported on by the external auditors of Implats. 
 
The Company's audited year end financial results will be released on 23 August 
2012.
