                               First Investments


The Directors of Triple Point VCT plc ("The Company") announce that it has
completed investments totalling #4 million into four companies:

Broadsword Satellite Communications Limited
Beam Carrier Trading Limited
Satellite Broadband Access Solutions Limited
High Definition Broadcast Services Limited

Each company has been formed to specialise in trading satellite carrier
capacity.  Triple Point VCT is providing finance for the purchase of carrier
capacity in HYLAS, a communications satellite for high definition television and
broadband internet access currently being built by EADS Astrium.  HYLAS is due
for launch in late 2008 and has an expected lifetime of 15 years, providing
satellite services over Europe and North Africa.

Triple Point's investments were pre-approved as VCT-qualifying by HMRC, which
approval extended to commitments for a second tranche of similarly sized
investments in these four companies by Triple Point VCT, currently anticipated
in mid-2007.

Michael Sherry, Chairman of Triple Point VCT plc, said :

"Our four newly established holdings reflect Triple Point VCT's focus on high
quality, low risk and potentially liquid investments.  These transactions
represent significant progress towards investing 70% of our shareholders'
capital in VCT-qualifying companies."
