Appointment of additional Non-Executive Director 
 
 
Western & Oriental plc, the specialist luxury travel group, today announces the 
appointment of Jeremy William Goldberg as an additional Non-Executive Director 
with immediate effect. 
 
 
Jerry, aged 45, has significant experience in the leisure sector, both 
operationally and from an investment perspective.  His appointment increases the 
total of Non-Executive Directors to three, balancing the board composition 
between executive and non-executive directors. Mr Golberg has also been 
appointed to the Company's Audit and Remuneration Committees with immediate 
effect. 
 
 
Jerry is a founding partner of Figaro Equity Growth Partners LLP, a partnership 
which assists LBO's of businesses within the wider leisure sector. In Jerry's 
early career he held a number of product and marketing roles at Unilever, SC 
Johnson Wax and Scottish & Newcastle. Between 2000 and 2004 Jerry was with 
Center Parcs Europe, firstly as Sales and Marketing Director and then as Chief 
Operating Officer.  From 2004 until 2007 Jerry was Operating Partner with 
MidOcean Partners LLP, a UK/US mid-cap private equity fund, with a role to 
develop the fund's leisure sector investment strategy.
