The Tibbetts Award is a national award presented by the Small Business Technology Council to small businesses and individuals working in research, development and commercialization of high-tech products. The highly- prestigious awards are made to those companies judged to best exemplify the philosophy and doctrine of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, a highly competitive program intended to stimulate innovation by encouraging small business to explore and commercialize new technologies.
