Mattel Listed Among 100 Best Corporate Citizens in 2010, Ranks #29

Mattel, Inc. (Nasdaq:MAT) today announced it has been named to CRO
Magazine's 11
th Annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens"
list for 2010, ranking at 29.
"We are so proud to once again be named to this prestigious

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List is based on more than 360
data points of publicly-available information in seven
categories. The seven categories include: Human Rights,
Philanthropy, Employee Relations, Financial Performance,
Governance, Environment and Climate Change. The 100 Best
Corporate Citizens are selected from among the large-cap Russell
1000 companies, based on data provided by leading ESG investor data
firm IW Financial. The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List's
open and transparent methodology is governed by a Methodology
Committee of the Corporate Responsibility Officers Association
(CROA). The List methodology is published by Corporate
Responsibility Magazine, found online at

Earlier this year, Mattel also was recognized for the third
consecutive year among Fortune Magazine's "100 Best
Companies to Work For" in 2010, ranking at #78.
