NEW YORK, April 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cheetah Mobile
Inc. (NYSE: CMCM), the leading mobile utility and security app
developer, today announced that it has received the "Excellence of
the Year for Innovation & Leadership - Mobile Tools" award
during the sixth annual edition of the IAIR Awards.
Cheetah Mobile accepted the award on April 14 at IAIR Awards 2016, held at the Yale
Club in New York. According to
IAIR Awards, the motivation for the distinction was the
following:
For making the Internet and mobile experience speedier,
simpler, and safer for users worldwide and aiming to provide the
best apps for mobile users, while building a leading global mobile
ad platform for advertisers. For becoming the no.1 mobile
application developer all over the world.
"Just three years ago, Cheetah Mobile set out on a mission to
become the top mobile utility app developer because we noticed
there was a lack of leadership in the space," said Josh Ong, Director of Communications at Cheetah
Mobile. "We're honored to accept an IAIR Award acknowledging the
innovation we've brought to mobile tools, and we look forward to
continuing our focus on improving the mobile experience for our
users around the world."
Alongside Cheetah Mobile's award, 18 other companies were
recognized by IAIR Awards for their contributions to sectors
including technology, finance, law, and communications.
Earlier in April, Cheetah Mobile's popular Photo Grid app
received recognition for the "Best Lifestyle App" Platinum Award of
March 2016 from the Best Mobile App
Awards.
