PC Connection Inc. (CNXN) shares rose 9% to $54.75 after hours and Dorian LPG Ltd. (LPG) rose 8% to $16.62 as the companies were selected to join the S&P SmallCap 600.

Information technology company PC Connection will join the index before trading opens on Friday, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices. Dorian LPG, which ships liquefied petroleum gas, will be added Jan. 15.

The companies are replacing Jagged Peak Energy Inc. (JAG), which is being sold to Parsley Energy Inc. (PE), and SRC Energy Inc. (SRCI), which is being sold to PDC Energy Inc. (PDCE).
