Other Events

Pursuant to the Amended and Restated By-Laws of Lyondell Chemical Company (the “Company”), notice is hereby given that the special meeting of shareholders of the Company related to the proposal to adopt the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of July 16, 2007, among Basell AF, BIL Acquisition Holdings Limited and the Company, will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Company’s General Assembly Room, Two Houston Center, 909 Fannin, Suite 400, in Houston, Texas. The press release regarding this matter is being filed with this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
