Las Vegas Strip June Gambling Revenue Fell 4.5%

The Nevada Gaming Control Board said Thursday that gambling
revenue statewide in June declined just over 6% to $832.5 million.
On the Las Vegas Strip, which accounts for more than half the
total, revenue fell 4.5% to $483.7 million. Other markets posting
declines included downtown Las Vegas and Laughlin while Washoe
County, home of Reno and Lake Tahoe, was up more than 7%. Shares of
publicly-traded casino operators like Las Vegas Sands (LVS), MGM
Resorts (MGM) and Wynn Resorts (WYNN) were recently down, while
Caesars Entertainment (CZR) was up about 1.2%.
