NEW YORK, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- OCE Interactive
announced that Jason Mirsky, head of
the U.S. banking solutions team at RiskMetrics Group, Inc. (NYSE:
RISK), a leading provider of risk management and corporate
governance products and services to the global financial community,
has joined OCE's board of advisors. OCE is the developer of
Market Topographer™ (www.markettopographer.com), a new Web-based
platform for researching, benchmarking and comparing the valuation
of U.S. stocks, which the company launched earlier this year.
Developed by OCE's team of former bulge-bracket investment
bankers and Wall Street executives, Market Topographer is designed
to help institutional investors and advisors, as well as more
sophisticated retail investors, evaluate more clearly and
objectively whether a stock is fairly priced. Intended for
investors to navigate all types of markets, including today's
post-financial crisis stock market, the platform demonstrates how
the market is systematically rewarding and penalizing company
valuations at any point in time.
"We are delighted to welcome Jason to our advisory board.
His expertise and thorough knowledge of the sector and
operations will be invaluable as we continue to broaden awareness
of Market Topographer in the financial community and move forward
with our plans for company growth," said Jonathan Greenberg, CFA, OCE Interactive
President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mirsky joined RiskMetrics Group in 1999, the year after it was
founded, and helped launch the firm's wealth management business.
He has led development groups within specific product lines
as well as product management across the firm.
"I very much look forward to working with Jonathan and his
entire team at OCE," Mirsky said. "Market Topographer is an
exceptional platform intended to provide investors with a means of
more objectively comparing the valuation of stocks, which is so
badly needed especially in today's uncertain market."
Market Topographer combines fundamental and behavioral analysis,
with a particularly strong focus on evaluation of each company's
relative risk profile, trading multiple and whether or not the
expectations embedded in its stock price are achievable.
Under the hood, the platform is driven by a financial model
back-filled for 20 years and encompassing 12 core risk assessment
characteristics – such as financial leverage, dividend payout ratio
and growth expectations – which together define how the market
systematically differentiates the valuation of listed stocks as of
any given day.
The platform's interactive tool sets offer users three
complementary benchmarking techniques to gain a comprehensive
perspective on the valuation of any particular stock. These
are comparison of the future growth expectations priced into a
stock with relevant historical precedents; evaluation of the impact
of market conditions on a stock's price; and direct comparison of
the profile and valuation of a stock with other stocks, currently,
historically, and even across time.
