Rayonier (NYSE:RYN) announced today that James M. Stackpoole has joined Rayonier as Vice President of TerraPointe, its Florida-based real estate subsidiary. Stackpoole brings more than 35 years of real estate development experience to TerraPointe's efforts to optimize the value of Rayonier's 200,000 acres of higher-and-better use properties in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. "Jim's expertise in real estate, which focused heavily on creating high-end resort and residential communities in Florida, adds tremendous strength to the capabilities of our TerraPointe leadership team," said Lee Nutter, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Stackpoole was Vice President of Business Development for WCI Communities, Inc., a Bonita Springs-based developer of residential communities. Prior to that, he spent four years as President of Tradition Community Development Corporation; nine years as President and CEO of Profundo, Inc.; and held various executive positions with the Deltona Corporation during a 20-year career, leading up to his appointment as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Community Management. Stackpoole holds a B.S. in business administration from Michigan State University. Rayonier has 2.2 million acres of timberland and real estate in the U.S. and New Zealand.
