DENVER, CO, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lions Petroleum Inc.(the "Company") OTCBB:LPET - announced today that SunCoast Technical Services, operator for the Bennett wells in Lavaca County, Texas (see News Release dated June 26/06) has informed the "Company" the two wells have been drilled to the following depths. The Bennett #1 well was drilled to a total depth of 3350 feet and 4-1/2 inch casing was run to a depth of 3140 feet. Logs indicated the following potential pay zones: - Miocene Formation from 784 - 786 feet - Frio Formation from 2734 - 2740 feet - Frio Formation from 3072 - 3080 feet The Bennett #2 well was drilled to a total depth of 1267 feet and 4 1/2 inch casing was run to a depth of 842 feet. Logs indicated the following potential pay zones: - Miocene Formation from 518 - 528 feet - Miocene Formation from 762 - 766 feet The operator reports they are waiting on a completion rig to be mobilized to the site. The Company also announces it will not be proceeding with the Genesis prospect that was the subject of a news release dated June 12, 2006.
