Marriott International Inc. (MAR) said Wednesday it signed 21 more management deals across the Asia-Pacific region, in a bid to speed up the expansion of its hotel portfolio in the region.

The 21 hotels in China, India, Thailand, the Philippines and Cambodia are slated to open through the end of 2013 and will add nearly 7,000 rooms to the hotel operator's earlier-announced Asia-Pacific pipeline of 37 hotels and 9,400 rooms.

When opened, all 58 hotels will bring the company's presence in the region to 154 hotels offering 51,500 rooms in 18 countries.
