RAV.UN Ravensource Fund

TORONTO, Dec. 14, 2011 /CNW/ - The Ravensource Fund today announced its semi-annual distribution to holders of Ravensource Fund trust units .  The distribution will be paid on December 30, 2011 to unitholders of record as of December 23, 2011.  The amount of the distribution will be increased to $0.27 per unit versus the prior distribution of $0.09 per unit.  The increase is a result of greater interest income earned by the Ravensource Fund from its underlying fixed income investments and the requirement to pay out all net income, excluding capital gains, earned in a given fiscal year.  As a result of such requirements, the final distribution in a year may exceed the mid-year distribution rate.  Looking forward, Ravensource Fund's future distributions will vary depending on the composition of the Ravensource Fund's portfolio between fixed income and equity investments.
