Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX: WRX) announced today that Mr. Leif Rune Rinnan will be joining the company's Board of Directors, effective today. He will assume the seat currently held by outgoing director Mr. Per Olav Fosse.

Mr. Rinnan is a Founding Partner & CEO of Telenor Venture and TeleVenture Management. He has been with the company since 1993. He brings over 26 years of management and business experience to the board in the fields of telecommunications and IT.

The change reflects the purchase of Telenor Mobile Communications' minority position in Wireless Matrix by Telenor Venture in September 2008. Mr. Fosse, a Senior Vice President of Telenor Mobile Communications AS, has served on the board since 2001.
