RagingWire Data Centers to Acquire 80% Ownership Stake
RagingWire's Affiliation With NTT Communications Creates a
Global Data Center Platform Leveraging RagingWire's Patented Data

TOKYO, JAPAN and SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 3, 2014) -
NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and
international communications business within NTT (NYSE: NTT), and
RagingWire Data Centers (RagingWire), a leading provider of data
center colocation services in the United States, jointly announced
today that NTT Com has completed its investment of $350 million in
RagingWire to acquire an 80% ownership stake. RagingWire's
founders and management team will continue to operate the company
as a platform under the RagingWire brand and maintain a minority
interest in the company.
The addition of RagingWire's data center space to NTT Com's
portfolio more than doubles NTT Com's data center space in the U.S.
and enables both companies to respond to high demand for data
center colocation services worldwide. NTT Com will also deploy
RagingWire's know-how and patented technologies for the design and
operation of highly dependable, scalable and sophisticated data
centers.

RagingWire has 650,000 square feet of data center space at its
campuses in Sacramento, California, and Ashburn,
Virginia. Both campuses are currently being expanded. In
addition, RagingWire has begun construction of a new 150,000 square
foot data center in Sacramento and will soon break ground on a 78
acre parcel of land in Ashburn, Virginia with designs to build
1,500,000 square feet of data center space.
NTT Com's data centers in more than 150 locations amount to a
total server room floor area of over 2.5 million square
feet. Under its Nexcenter™ brand, NTT Com is striving to offer
enhanced data center services of even higher quality than
before. The new Nexcenter solutions will combine globally
standardized service agreements, service level agreements (SLA) and
customer portals with special cost-reducing features, such as
advanced air conditioning systems and virtual-network-based global
seamless services, including hybrid clouds.
