Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE:JCI) and YORK International Corporation (NYSE:YRK) announced today that the YORK Special Stockholders Meeting to vote upon the merger agreement with Johnson Controls will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005, at 10 A.M. E.S.T. The meeting will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton BWI Airport, at 7032 Elm Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21240. Stockholders of record at the close of business on November 7, 2005 will be entitled to notice of and to vote at the Special Stockholders Meeting. Johnson Controls and YORK also announced that they currently expect to complete their merger on December 9, 2005, immediately following the YORK Special Stockholders Meeting, subject to YORK stockholder approval of the merger agreement and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions. On November 10, 2005, the companies received clearance of their merger from the European Commission.
