Telecom Italia SpA (TIT.MI) has appointed Pietro Scott Jovane as chief commercial officer, the company said on Wednesday.

Mr. Jovane will join the group as of mid-April and his responsibilities will include the development of a commercial strategy for the company, Telecom Italia said. He will also be responsible for activities involving brand development and positioning.

The company said Mr. Jovane will report directly to Chief Executive Amos Genish.

Previously, Mr. Jovane was chief executive of Italian e-commerce company ePrice, among other managerial positions.
