Casino Guichard-Perrachon SA (CO.FR) said Thursday that it has signed a deal with Compass Group PLC (CPG.LN) for the sale of its contract catering services R2C.

The French retailer didn't provide any financial details but the transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2019.

Casino said the deal is part of its initiative to significantly increase its profitability and strengthen its financial profile.
