Red Cat Holdings Inc. shares rose nearly 70% Monday after the company's Skypersonic Inc. unit received a five-year contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Red Cat, a Puerto Rico-based provider of software to the drone industry, said Skypersonic will provide drone and rover software, hardware and support for NASA's simulated Mars mission.

Red Cat shares were recently up 69.2% to $4.06.
