UPS Names Bala Subramanian To New Role of Chief Digital and Technology Officer

United Parcel Service Inc. said Tuesday that it named Bala
Subramanian to the newly-created role of executive vice president
and chief digital and technology officer.
The delivery company said Mr. Subramanian will be responsible
for the strategy, design, development and execution of UPS's
technology, industrial engineering and digital transformation
functions. He will report to Chief Executive Carol Tome, effective
July 18.
Mr. Subramanian most recently served as chief digital officer at
AT&T Inc. He has prior stints at Best Buy Co. and T-Mobile US
Inc.
The 50-year-old serves on the board for Cars.com Inc. and
Netherlands-based Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV.
