Airbus SE said Monday that it has won an order for 41 aircraft from German airline Condor Flugdienst as it looks to modernize its single-aisle fleet.

The agreement covers 41 A320neo-family aircraft, which Condor will take via lease and direct purchase, Airbus said.

The privately-owned airline's decision to modernize its fleet with the model comes following a previous order for Airbus's A330neo for its long-haul network, said the plane maker's Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer, who is also head of Airbus International.

"[We] welcome Condor as a future all-Airbus operator," Mr. Scherer said.
