Novartis Drops Plan for Major Trial in UK, FT Reports

--Novartis AG has dropped a plan to conduct a major trial for
its cholesterol drug Leqvio in the U.K. in collaboration with the
National Health Service and will run a global trial instead, the
Financial Times reports.
--The decision followed a low take-up of the drug during the
initial U.K. rollout, the FT reports.
--The Swiss pharmaceutical company didn't immediately respond to
a request for comment when contacted by Dow Jones Newswires.
