ADRs End Mostly Lower; Opera, Sony Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on
Friday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
ticked down 0.1% to 151.86. The European index was largely
unchanged at 152.28. The Asian index edged down 0.2% to 166.30. The
Latin American index moved down 0.4% to 184.53, while the
emerging-markets index climbed 0.6% to 276.50.
Opera Ltd. was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The web browser provider soared 22% a day after the company
reported nearly 22% revenue growth in the first quarter while also
raising the lower-end of its revenue guidance and both ends of its
adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and
amortization guidance for 2023.
Sony Group Corp. retreated 5.7% after the Japanese entertainment
and electronics company projected revenue and net profit to decline
for the fiscal year that started in April.
