--NatWest Group Chief Executive Alison Rose has resigned after she said she erred in discussing Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage with a journalist, U.K. media, including the Financial Times, the Guardian and BBC report.

--The Wall Street Journal reported earlier Tuesday that NatWest's board still had confidence in Rose, who said, "I made a serious error of judgment in discussing Mr. Farage's relationship with the bank." She had spoken to a BBC journalist who wrote that Farage's accounts were closed for commercial reasons. The BBC had updated the report to say it was inaccurate.
