ADJUSTMENT OF DESPATCH DATE OF

CIRCULAR IN RESPECT OF MAJOR TRANSACTION

IN RELATION TO AIRCRAFT PURCHASE

Reference is made to the announcement of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (the “Company”) dated 1 July 2022 in respect of major transaction in relation to the Aircraft Purchase (the “Announcement”). Unless otherwise indicated, terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcement.

As disclosed in the Announcement, a circular containing, among other things, further details of    the Aircraft Purchase and other particulars required under the Listing Rules is expected to be despatched to the Shareholders on or before 12 August 2022.

As additional time is required to prepare and finalise certain information to be included in the Circular, the Company expects that the despatch of the circular will be adjusted to on or before 25 August 2022.
