Item 8.01. Other Events.
On January 5, 2024, Gemma Power Systems (“Gemma”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Argan, Inc., received full notices to proceed with engineering, procurement and construction services for two solar and battery projects. Under a limited notice to proceed, as previously disclosed, Gemma had commenced early engineering and design activities as well as procurement of major equipment related to these projects. The two projects will represent 112 MW of electrical power and 16 MWh of energy storage.
