Delta Adds International Counter at Kiss 'N Fly, Enabling Faster Check-in for Customers Additional Counters Especially Important During Busy July 4th Weekend ATLANTA, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Moscow, Cozumel, St. Croix. So far this year, Delta has announced new service to these international destinations, adding to the more than 200 locations in more than 30 countries Delta already serves out of Atlanta. Now, in addition to the many destination choices, Delta's international customers are now being provided with more check-in options. Eight new international check-in locations have been installed in the Kiss 'N Fly drop-off area located in the Terminal South parking lot. By the end of July, an additional six international positions will be installed at the upstairs curbside next to the terminal. "The additional check-in locations have already reduced international processing times," said Rich Cordell, senior vice president - airport operations. "The additional six should shorten the wait time even more, making for a very smooth check-in process for our international customers, which is particularly important during the busy summer travel season, including the 4th of July weekend." Delta is planning for full airplanes into and out of Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport during the course of the busy holiday weekend, considered to begin June 30 and end July 5. "Summer is the most popular season for air travel and Delta continues to work towards reducing passenger wait-times and enhancing the overall travel experience by providing customers with choices," said Cordell. Delta will begin to offer international check-in capabilities via our kiosks by adding passport readers later this year -- something that will make the check-in experience even more simple as international passengers will be able to use a kiosk to check-in for their flight, check baggage and choose a seat assignment. "We continually ask our customers for feedback and they have told us that a simple check-in process is very important to them," Cordell said. "And providing additional options for our customers is especially important as Delta continues to add new international flight destinations to its network." A portion of travel may be provided by the Delta Connection(R) carriers: Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Comair, or Song, Delta's low-fare service.
