All Frontier Passengers Are Advised to Arrive at the Airport at
Least Three Hours Prior to Departure, in Anticipation of Long
Security Lines DENVER, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The
Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security has determined
that there is a high risk of terrorism against U.S. civil aviation,
and the need for extra restrictions to assure the security of air
travel. On instruction from the Transportation Security
Administration, Frontier advises passengers that no liquids or gels
are permitted inside the sterile area through the screening
checkpoint including in baggage or on one's person except: * Baby
formula, breast milk, or juice if a baby of small child is
traveling * Prescription medicine with a name that matches the
passenger's ticket * Insulin and essential other non-prescription
medicines In addition, customers may not bring liquids and gels
purchased inside the sterile area onboard the aircraft. Examples of
liquids and gels include beverages, shampoo, suntan lotion, creams,
toothpaste, hair gel and items of a similar consistency. Please
visit http://www.tsa.gov/ for more specific information on banned
items. These measures apply to all scheduled and charter flight
operations that depart from and operate within the United States
and its territories and possessions. All passengers are advised to
travel light and check luggage. Accessible property should have
minimal clutter to expedite the screening process. "We know that
this is a difficult time for all of our passengers and Frontier
greatly appreciates everyone's patience as we work with the
government and TSA to ensure the safety of our aviation system,"
said Chris Collins, Senior Vice President of Operations. "While the
integrity of our schedule is certainly suffering due to extensive
security delays, we do not anticipate any cancellations currently.
Our promise to our passengers is to maintain as much flexibility as
possible, and to provide as much information as we can, as we try
to get our planes out as close to their scheduled times as
possible." About Frontier Currently in its 13th year of operations,
