back on COMEDY CENTRAL and is taking the stage in an all-new
one-hour COMEDY CENTRAL Original World Premiere Stand-Up Special.
Mencia's third one-hour COMEDY CENTRAL special, "Carlos Mencia: New Territory," will debut on
Sunday, December 4 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Mencia is back and at the top of his game. As outspoken as
ever, he brings fans into bold new comedic territory, using
personal stories and an uncompromising world view to connect with
his universal and diverse fan base. Filmed at the Pechanga
Casino in Temecula, CA, Mencia's
latest hour special puts him in a new light while still showcasing
the trademark "keep it real" attitude his fans have always
loved.
Leading up to the on-air premiere, cc.com/standup will feature
sneak-preview clips from the special.
On Tuesday, December 6,
"Carlos Mencia: New Territory" will
be released in the U.S. on DVD by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment
and Paramount Home Entertainment. The uncensored and extended
DVD includes over 30 minutes of material not seen on COMEDY
CENTRAL, including the bonus feature "Carlos Mencia's Guide to Getting Fit."
Mencia comes from a humble background, born in Honduras, the 17th of 18 children. He
began his career doing stand-up on amateur night at the comedy
club, Laugh Factory, and was later showcased at The Comedy Store
where he became a regular. Mencia has been a long-time
network favorite starring in the hit series "Mind of Mencia" and
several COMEDY CENTRAL specials including "COMEDY CENTRAL
Presents," "Carlos Mencia:
Performance Enhanced" and "Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached."
