PENNSAUKEN, N.J., Nov. 29, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- WTSO, a leading provider of wine online, is proud to announce their upcoming contribution efforts on one of the largest donation days of the year: Giving Tuesday. Starting December 1, 2020, the online wine platform is encouraging the country to nominate hunger relief organizations that are near and dear to their hearts. Due to the pandemic this year, millions more Americans are facing hunger this holiday season. The company is committed to fundraising to help feed and support communities in need.

Instead of predetermining an organization to sponsor, WTSO is empowering customers to amplify local or national charities that have significance to them. Executive Director at WTSO, Julie Blount states, "We talk about food and wine together so often. With the current events that are happening around the country, we wanted to use our platform to offer help to people in our communities. Everybody deserves food and comfort this winter, so we wanted a process that would allow a voice for smaller nonprofits as well as the big names."

Nominations can be entered at wtso.com/charity until December 8, 2020. After the designated window closes, WTSO will select any two of the submitted organizations. Each of the two charities will receive up to $15,000 from a portion of proceeds through special sale events during the week of December 16, 2020. The separate sale events won't be the only way to donate though. In addition, customers will also have the option to increase their personal contribution amount upon checkout.

Hoping to spread as much awareness as possible and reach their donation goal of $30,000, WTSO is hoping to incentivize new visitors to take part in the giving campaign. For those coming to the site for the first time to support this cause, their efforts will be maximized by applying the code HERETOHELP upon checkout during the donation events.

WTSO customers and those who are looking to make a difference this Giving Tuesday are encouraged to submit a charity of their choice starting December 1, 2020. After their nomination, participants are invited to keep an eye out for charity-based events on the WTSO website.
