                   FIELDENS PLC ('FIELDENS' OR 'THE COMPANY')

                     CHANGE OF NAME TO CAMAXYS GROUP PLC


Fieldens PLC announces that it has sent to shareholders today a circular
together with a notice of EGM proposing a resolution to change the name of the
company to CamAxys Group PLC. The change of name follows the acquisition of
CamAxys Limited, approved by shareholders on 20 November 2002, and reflects the
enlarged group's strategy of taking advantage of organic and acquisitive growth
opportunities within its sector.
