                     COMPLETION OF DISPOSAL OF CFX BUSINESS



Further to the announcement made on 4 Feb 2003, the disposal of the CFX business
has today been completed for a consideration of #13.4 million.

Chairman, Peter Watson said:

"I am pleased that the sale of CFX has been successfully concluded.  It marks a
further step in our disposals programme which is nearing completion. The
disposal of our nuclear activities in the UK is progressing well."

The closure of B220 at Harwell and its operations, announced in May 2001, is on
track to be completed by the end of March 2004.
