EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc (the "Company")

DIRECTORS' SHARE TRANSACTIONS

The Company announces that following the exercise of share options under the
Company's 1990 Share Option Scheme, 10,000 ordinary shares of 40 pence in the
Company were today allotted to Ann Wilson, a director of the Company, at a price
of 55 pence per share.  Application will be made at the earliest practicable
opportunity for admission of the new ordinary shares to the Official List of the
London Stock Exchange.

The Company was also informed yesterday of the following transactions in the
Company's ordinary shares of 40 pence by directors:

*       Ann Wilson yesterday purchased 10,000 shares at a price of 127 pence
        each

*       Richard Palmer yesterday purchased 10,000 shares at a price of 127 pence
        each.

As a result of the above transactions, those directors' shareholdings, based on
the Company's increased share capital following the exercise of the above
options are now:

*       Ann Wilson 376,606 shares (0.71% of the total issued share capital)

*       Richard Palmer 510,000 shares (0.96% of the total issued share capital).
