LONG TERM INCENTIVE SHARE PLAN ("LTISP")


The Company has made a further award of options to participants in the above
Plan, including the three executive directors listed below. The following
options over ordinary shares of 25p each were awarded on 10 July 2003 at a price
of #4.315 per share:

JWD Hall              95,018
M Allen               48,668
P Thornton            48,668

Notification of the awards has been made to directors today.

The total number of LTISP options currently outstanding for each director is as
follows:

JWD Hall             247,613
M Allen              124,026
P Thornton            85,918


Exercise of awards is subject to the achievement of performance conditions over
a three year performance cycle
