Ben Bailey Plc announces that on 13 November 2003 it issued and allotted 40,000
ordinary shares of 10p each in total to Stephen North, Finance Director and
another employee pursuant to the exercise of share options.  The options were
exercised at 43p per share.


Application will be made for the shares to be admitted to the Official List of
the London Stock Exchange. It is expected that dealings in the new shares will
commence on Thursday 20 November 2003.
