                           Results of EGM and Placing

Maverick Entertainment Group plc ("the Company"), the AIM listed company
specialising in the creation, acquisition and development of IPR in children's
films, television programmes, characters and related entertainment products
announces that the resolution at today's EGM was duly passed.

The Company also is pleased to announce that it has raised #137,500 through a
placing of 55,000,000 new ordinary shares at 0.25p per share ("Placing Shares").
This will provide the Company with additional working capital.

Application has today been made for the admission of the Placing Shares to
trading on AIM. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu with the existing
ordinary shares of the Company. Dealings in the Placing Shares are expected to
commence on Friday 29 July 2005.
