Interim Management Statement

Since the beginning of the financial period in August, Clintons have closed four stores and relocated three resulting in 650 stores trading. Birthdays have closed four and relocated one resulting in 172 stores trading.

Net debt as at the 22nd November was GBP37.7m compared to GBP48.1m at the same time last year, an improvement of GBP10.4m.

In the 16 weeks to 21st November 2010, Clinton Cards' like for like sales decreased by 3.3% and Birthdays UK increased by 0.7%. Birthdays trading in the Republic of Ireland decreased by 14.0%. This resulted in total Group like for like sales lower by 3.0%.

Our new store design is progressing well and we are preparing to test the concept in five stores after Christmas.

The Group is well prepared for the important Christmas trading period and look forward to reporting our performance in January.
