Metalfrio: 3Q07 Adjusted Net Profit 401.2% Higher YoY at R$13.1mn; Adjusted EBITDA 183.7% Higher YoY at R$ 11.0mn



SAO PAULO, Brazil, Nov 12, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- In this release Metalfrio Solutions S.A. ("Metalfrio") (FRIO3), one of the world's largest manufacturers of plug-in commercial refrigeration equipment, announces its results for third quarter 2007 (3Q07).



HIGHLIGHTS
-- We report adjusted 3Q07 EBITDA (after non-recurring items) of R$
11.0mn, bringing year-to-date (9M07) EBITDA to R$ 22.6mn.
-- Our Brazil operation reports adjusted EBITDA for the quarter of R$
10.6mn (EBITDA margin 9.3%), and adjusted 3Q07 EBITDA of our Mexico
operation is R$ 2.0mn (margin 9.1%).
-- Our 3Q07 net profit, adjusted for tax incentive and IPO expenses, is R$
13.1mn (adjusted EBITDA margin 8.8%): this is five times our 3Q06
adjusted net profit of R$ 2.6mn.
-- Our 3Q07 net revenue, R$ 148.9mn, is more than twice our 3Q06 net
revenue (increase of 115.8%), and 5.3% more than our net revenue for
2Q07. We sold 94.3% more units in 3Q07 than 3Q06, and 3.0% more than in
2Q07. Highlights in growth are Brazil with 16.1% increase from the
second quarter (2Q07) - and 63.9% more than in 3Q06; Mexico with an
increase of 171.3% over 2Q07; and Turkey, with 21.0% more than in 2Q07.
-- We began production and sale of "bridal veil" equipment in our Mexico
operation in July, producing 9,000 of these units there in the third
quarter. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2007 (4Q07) we will be
able to meet the entire local Mexican demand for "bridal veil"
equipment from this operation.
-- Net working capital (excluding cash and short-term debt) grew
atypically, by R$ 45.2mn, in 3Q07.
