Publication of Supplemental Prospectus

Nomura Bank International plc (the "Issuer") announces that a supplement dated 17 May 2012 (the "Supplement") to the base prospectus dated 24 August 2011 (the "Base Prospectus") relating to its Note, Warrant and Certificate Programme has been approved by the UK Listing Authority and is available for viewing.

The Supplement, the Base Prospectus and any other previously approved supplements to the Base Prospectus (together, the "Previous Supplements") will be made available to investors free of charge upon request during normal business hours from Monday to Friday each week (public holidays excepted) from and including the date of the publication of the Supplement at the registered offices of:

   (a)        Nomura Bank International plc, being at 1 Angel Lane, London, EC4R 3AB; and 
   (b)        Nomura International plc, being at 1 Angel Lane, London, EC4R 3AB.
