Analog Devices Expects Higher 3Q Revenue

Analog Devices Inc. said Wednesday it sees revenue of about $1.7
billion, plus or minus $70 million, for the fiscal third
quarter.
The semiconductor company posted revenue of $1.46 billion in the
third quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Analog Devices expects earnings between $1.12 and $1.34 a share,
and adjusted earnings of $1.61 a share, plus or minus 11 cents a
share, for the three months ending Aug. 1. In the year-ago quarter,
the company earned 97 cents a share, or $1.36 a share as
adjusted.
At the midpoint of the revenue outlook, the company said it
expects operating margin of about 32.9%, plus or minus 1.4
percentage points.
President and Chief Executive Officer Vincent Roche said the
second quarter's results exceeded the high end of the company's
outlook, reflecting strong demand for its products and disciplined
operational execution.
