Corp (Nasdaq: SYMS), the leading off-price retailer,
announced today that CEO and Chairman Marcy
Syms will preside over the NASDAQ closing bell ceremony on
Wednesday, September 15, 2010. The
following day, uptown at Broadway between 79th and 80th Streets,
Syms will open a new fbSY (fib-SEE), a co-branded Filene's
Basement and Syms Tailored & Tux store designed to attract both
Syms and Filene's Basement devotees. In addition to the
Manhattan location, two other fbSY
stores will open the same day, September
16, in Elmsford, New York
(Westchester County) and in
Westbury, Long Island. Syms will also be unveiling a new
flagship fbSY store on Fifth Avenue, set to open late spring of
2011.

chain, topping the chart of the "Hot 100 Retailers" recognized by

the Syms acquisition of Filene's Basement last year, the company
has been expanding its long time footprint in the men's off-price
retail space to include the devoted Filene's core female customer
base. Syms has already opened three fbSY stores this year in
Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The ceremony will begin at 3:50pm Eastern
time, with remarks from Ms. Syms just prior to the closing
